2018 Beginnings

Roam Marine are into the new year providing construction support on the following projects:
FMG Tug Harbour – Working with Austral RM have designed a pile frame to sit on the SEMP, a jack-up barge. The pile frame can skate in all directions for precision driving. The top gate is sliding vertically and has 2 setups for 1200 diameter piles and 2000 diameter piles. RM have designed two temporary crows nests, one for the surveyor to ping levels for future piles and steelwork, the other to provide access to cut piles, weld on pile caps and steelwork for access walkways. See photos under projects.

Richmond River Bridge – Part of the Woolgoolga to Ballina Highway upgrade includes a new bridge over Richmond River. Austral will be driving piles in the area and installing girder beams for the bridge. RM designed a temporary load-out jetty to feed the barge piles and girders. The Jetty will hold a Liebherr LR1300 crane. RM are providing support and design for various other small platforms, supports and lifts. See photos under projects.

Work on BHP Berth A & B continues with supporting TAMS with temporary works.

RM are providing engineering management services for the Port Hedland Channel Markers replacement project. This will run throughout 2018.
